Bitter Sweet

So recently,a good friend of mine asked me,”So,after graduation what next?”

I gave her a quick answer,I didn’t even think about it. Fast forward a few days after the graduation hullabaloo..the question still lingers…what next after graduation?

The above mentioned friend chose not to sit in the scorching sun and wait for her name to be called out,for reasons best known to herself.

Yes,we have graduated from various fields of study,we have put in work to get that first class,that credit or even that pass. Just recently it was all over the news,a story about a graduate sweeping the streets for a living.So after graduation,dear graduants,are you ready to sweep the streets,are you ready to be that casual laborer? I think the question should change,”So,after graduation is the job market ready for you?”

Am sorry to burst your bubble you fresh out of campus flock,the system shortchanged you,how else do you explain a job asking for a candidate with 5 years experience and of 23 years of age,you just came out of campus at 22??

Well i do not want to sound scorned neither do I want to be tagged a complainant but,the system is a lie…the world today is a more practical arena,whats in your books is not whats in this streets,you have to fight for what belongs to you.

I know you are all dying to know what answer i gave my friend,well here goes “I,am a hustler,i will go through life like i always have” Its a jungle out here,everyone is fighting to be on top of that food chain,respect the process,your time will come,stay focused keep your eyes on the prize and put in work and consistency,you sure are going to need it.
