I cried for my country...not anymore!!

In case you haven't noticed or you chose to forget, Its now four months and eleven days since our country Kenya was plunged into yet another state of unrest and political uncertainty. And for what?  A considerable number of citizens together with their so called leaders conspired to con the entire republic by rigging themselves into "power"  yet again.

Fast foward to today. We wake up to news of ethnic cleansing in Kariobangi . Githeri media chooses to play "gospel" instead, gives the occurance a wide berth some media houses go a mile ahead and corrupt the story. How do you wake up to news of  six Luos dead and just write it  off? Social Media has been awash with videos of people being persecuted because of their ethnic alignment, Four damned months!!!

Raila has been fighting for the good will of this country since time immemorial. Democracy,  multi partism ..he even choreographed the constitution of today. This is a man you can't wish away. He comes into the country after some time abroad. .all for  the good of  this nation and you can't even let his people welcome him?  As if that is not enough you use live bullets to repulse supporters and even shoot at his concoy!! Prior to that you even plan to execute him!! But why? What are you scared of?

At this point I would like to hit at anyone in the other half of the political divide. What are you benefiting from an uthamaki presidency? SGR? Laptops? Increased cost of living? Inflicted national debt? Unemployment? Corruption?  Help me see the point here because I cannot understand how this leadership is helping this country.

They promised free secondary school education yet can't even sustain a free primary education worse still can't even pay teachers and lecturers.  Schools have been closed for the better part of the year. Its either lecturers are on strike or the students are on the streets because the people they look upto to serve and protect are the same people gassing their hostels and beating them senseless. They promised free maternal health. We have never seen a longer strike than the recent doctors strike. .correct me if am wrong was that a year? We are living  in a country where the first lady will run marathons to fund raise funds for better healthcare while in the same country a mistress is carrying millions in sacks to corruption. How ironic?

I need someone to take me to a school with seamless electricity supply let alone laptops because as far as you and I know those were white elephants. I was really taken aback when recently a cabinet Secretary for education  went to vote in a classroom that could pass for an abandoned building. Then they will get onto those platforms and brag about rural electrification as if we don't know its a world bank funded program. They will brag about providing refurbished government branded tablets to a few select schools yet they are students in a certain part of Kenya taking national exams in classroom constructed from mud highly perforated by heavy rains.

Where is all that noise about the standard gauge railway? What percentage of its production cost has it brought back since its inception? And why does it have to end in some heavy politician's backyard? Just  a moment what happens to the land that was reserved for the previous railways? And why do we have to buy refurbished locomotives from world war two at exorbitant prices while our allies in Ethiopia are getting new machines at almost half price?

Just the other day we lost a governor in a road accident, God rest his soul. I  heard they have a health cover of its own kind. Why did he have to wait 45 minutes before help came to his aid? Why were other county bosses made to have  a fundraising for his send off? How many of those level five hospitals do we have in the country? How many qualified doctors are paid well to be in those hospitals? Had that  said governor agreed to the CBA of the doctors and nurses of his county?

The nations debt burden is gradually rising at 56.4% up from 40.5% in five years. On average every Kenyan is in debted to the national government to a tune of  ksh 18000, that's more  than someone's salary.  I  would love to know how many  systems in this country are still functional what  is working right in this country?  How many  parastatals are still in existence?  And how many of  those  are under leadership of  people who aren't of the same ethnicity as the sitting president?

There are a million and  one problems in this country and when people in "power" stand up to talk all they  can talk  about is one man like kids who have lost  in a fight  reporting how they have been beaten. Raila this Raila that.. have you not any shame? If Raila is giving you sleepless nights you should consider letting him have his way. Anyone that voted against Raila you are part of the cartel that is robbing this country blind. You are the bad seeds that need to be uprooted.

This nation is slowly going into a state of anarchy, until we address the real issues at hand, until we stop being tumbocrats and combart corruption,  election fraud and inequality in sharing the national cake this country will burn. From a tired person's point of view I would be glad if  this country burns I would be glad if there was ethnic cleansing because then and only then would we know the value of peace then and only  then would we understand the value of good governance. Some lessons are better learnt the hard  way.
